April 2002: I have been in studio for the past month or so exploring ideas for some upcoming recording projects. It has been an awful lot of fun, especially since I have been able to do most of it at home and in a really cool room just up the road from where I live. The other night I was joined by my friend Davey Mathias, an ex-punk rocker who is now heavily into Celtic-style rhythm guitar. We sat and played a couple little sets together. I also threw in a tune on the new full set of uillean 'pipes, which have been pretty all-consuming of late. These are what I like to call "kitchen tracks" -- nothin' fancy, just real music.
